This year, Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. is very excited to begin our partnership with Red River College by establishing two awards that will be available annually.
One award is to be given to a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic student and the other to a Collision Repair and Refinishing student. Eligible students will be enrolled in a full course load and maintain satisfactory academic achievement. Selection is based on financial need as well as personal integrity, commitment to the program, good character, class engagement, and involvement in student life and the College community.
The first Peterbilt Manitoba Awards were received at the Fourteenth Annual Transportation, Aviation, and Manufacturing Trades Awards Luncheon that was held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
Jaskaran Singh was the recipient of the Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic award.
Bong- Gu Kang was the recipient of the Collision Repair and Refinishing award.
This year the Red River College awards fund is $82,000, a 32% increase from last year.
