May 6, 2016: Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. has come together with RBP Trucking, Trailer Wizards, Paulcat’s Transport, and R&D Trailer Rentals to help those in need from Fort McMurray.
Two van trailers are set up at Peterbilt Manitoba (1895 Brookside Blvd.) to accept donations of water, non-perishable food items, gift cards, pre-paid cards, blankets, diapers, formula, baby wipes, suitcases, new toiletries, and cat and dog food. It is our understanding that clothing donations are not needed at this time due to enough local supply. Donations can also be made online at www.redcross.ca.
Donations are being accepted Friday, May 6th until dark, and Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 a.m. until the trailers are full. Once the trailers are full, they will be driven to the Red Cross camp that is set up in Edmonton and the goods will be distributed to those in need from Fort McMurray. The goal is to have one trailer full and on the road by Saturday evening, and the second trailer will remain until it is full.
